Our Whale Watch with Dani was magical! His Zodiac boat was beautifully clean, comfortable and the smoothest ride I’ve ever had on the water. Dani is a master at finding whales! Our 6 person family group of 3 generations thoroughly enjoyed Dani’s O’Side Whales tour!  He is so knowledgeable and shared in ways that engaged everyone.  His enthusiasm for the wildlife & ocean is infectious.  We will definitely go with him again, probably in another season to see other whale species. Captain Dani took my sister and I out for a whale watching tour this morning, and we had an awesome experience!  Couldn’t have asked for better!  His boat is super comfortable and smooth over waves, Captain Dani was really knowledgeable about the animals and had all the resources to find them out on the water! This was such a wonderful way to spend a beautiful san diego day! Captain Dani was outstanding- funny, clear, knowledgeable, interesting, and engaged. He clearly loves searching for the wildlife and is excited to share it with his passengers. He is respectful of their environment and creates a light and magical atmosphere- perfect for interacting with the majestic mammals in the deep blue! Our kids were so jazzed and, as Captain Dani predicted, snoozed a bit on the way back to land after chasing dolphins and getting sprayed from their playful splashes and blowholes. What an unforgettable interaction with these smart creatures! He stayed on task and made sure he tracked whales- we saw three grey whales. It was a lot of fun and i have told all my friends to go! Way more intimate than being on a large boat, and the pricing is comparable to the larger vessels- but the experience is so much more!

He’ll tell you too, but highly recommend lots of layers. We barely got wet but the wind was a little chilly even in the 75 degree weather. Bring plenty of snacks for the littles- keeps them busy while Captain Dani is bringing you to the next active site. We will definitely be going again in a different season to see some other species. :)
