WHY O´SIDE WHALES?

Thanks to our vessels and experienced captains, we deliver high-quality at-sea experiences, providing more time to interact and enjoy the animals.
OUR BOAT:
The Papaya is a 28-foot Zodiac boat that can accommodate up to six passengers. Cruising speed is 25mph, which allows for greater reach of deeper waters quickly and maximizes our viewing opportunities. The boat’s design is one of the safest around, and the low profile of our inflatable sides makes for the closest encounters possible.
Even with the gentle handling of the boat and several seating options onboard, our trips should be booked with caution by individuals with medical needs, including neck, back, or balance issues, as well as pregnant people. We ask that passengers appreciate the unpredictable nature of ocean conditions and seek the advice of their medical professionals before boarding. Passengers must be 5 years or older to board. Life jackets are required for children under 13 years old.

EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONALISM
Each of our captains are licensed by US Coast Guard and are trained in first-aid, fire safety and are certified marine naturalists. The staff at O’side Whales are always monitoring NOAA and The National Weather Service among others to be sure they have the most up to date information regarding weather and water conditions. If conditions are not favorable, we will notify you within 24 hours of your trip and work with you to reschedule a better time. If this doesn’t work for you, your trip will be refunded in full. Throughout your voyage our staff will be there guiding you and sharing knowledge, making sure your trip is a safe and enriching experience.

MEET THE CAPTAIN
Thanks to our vessels and experienced captains, we deliver high-quality at-sea experiences, providing more time to interact and enjoy the animals. Captain Danilo is a licensed, highly experienced captain with a lifelong connection to the ocean. He has spent much of his life on, in, or near the water, developing a strong understanding of marine ecosystems and a deep respect for whales and other marine wildlife.
Originally from Spain, Dani relocated to the United States more than ten years ago to pursue his professional career in the maritime industry and to fulfill his vision of building his own whale watching company. This vision led to the founding of O´side Whales, a business dedicated to providing safe, responsible, and educational whale watching experiences.
Dani is a certified naturalist and certified scuba diving instructor, with extensive experience in water sports, marine research, and environmental education. This diverse background allows him to offer guests an informed and insightful perspective on local watersheds, marine ecosystems, and the behavior of whales, dolphins, and other species encountered at sea.
As both captain and owner of O´side Whales, Dani is known for his professionalism, strong commitment to safety, and dedication to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the marine environment for every guest on board.
